The project

The Bureau Expat was born from a simple belief: expatriation deserves to be approached with reliable data, not assumptions. Fact-based guides, country comparisons, tax analyses — all content is designed to help people prepare their life abroad with concrete, verifiable information.

Who am I?

My name is Farid, I’m French and a BI analyst, specialising in SQL, Python and Power BI. This data-driven approach shapes the entire editorial direction of The Bureau Expat: understanding expatriation through numbers, not clichés.

The YouTube channel

Alongside the website, a YouTube channel launched in June 2026 offers videos that break down expatriation topics through data — taxation, cost of living, visas — with the same goal: making complex information accessible.

Why this site?

Too much information about expatriation is vague, contradictory or outdated. The Bureau Expat exists to fill that gap: a structured, multilingual resource (FR / EN / ES), covering over twenty countries and 9 key themes to support every stage of an expatriation project.
